What’s Your Magic Number?

Posted by: admin on Sunday, April 6th, 2008

This is a difficult question for most to answer, why you might ask.  This is not a question you hear daily; it is almost taboo to ask someone what’s your magic number.    This would be a strange question from a perspective employer, or someone that you are not acquainted with, but should it be.

We are often asked from an early age what is it that you aspire to become; with our youthful exuberance we are eager to say I want to be a Lawyer, Doctor, Fireman, or a professional athlete.  The reason why that answer comes so easily to most, would be that is what we see on television or in the news.

Our teachers covet individuals of this caliber. I mean have you ever seen how teachers give credence to certain educational milestone ahead of almost anything else. We have to be realistic, in our approach to life, just because we do not fit certain standards of academia does not mean we should just give up. Some of our most successful entrepreneurs have a limited amount of so-called scholastic knowledge.

The key ingredient I see in a lot of the above mentioned individuals would be the vision they have. It has nothing to do with a conformist path, it has to do with the mindset I will do what it takes to become successful at my given passion. Your standard IQ test does not take heart and desire in account when it compiles it scores.

Back to my original topic, the reason why it is considered to be taboo, would be that most do not know what there number is, and if they know their magic number, how and what is needed to get there is a bigger question.

We have been almost brainwashed into thinking that we need to do things a certain way and if we do it a different way then we are considered a maverick.  We only need to look at the state of the economy to see that maybe the current status quo may not be the safest bet after all.  We need to be open to change; sometimes we need to embrace it with open arms.

It amuses me at the responses I receive most of the time when I ask someone what is your magic number, you would have thought I said it in Chinese.   It ranges from what are you talking about, to give me a minute I need to think about it.

That is when I usually define what I mean a little better, what would it take on a monthly basis for you to live comfortably without having to depend on your current source of income, albeit the current job or career path you have chosen.   When I break it down in laymen terms most can answer a little easier, that is usually when the fun begins for me, OK we have that magic number, now what.

My goal in creating The Power to Be Free was to create an environment that would promote change and also to increase the average individual’s awareness of what it takes for freedom to occur.  I can say without a doubt that I do not have all the answers, I am learning daily, trying to live the life I talk and write about daily.

I often fantasize about being completely free of the rat race; the question I ask myself daily, usually revolves around what steps I took to today to make that a reality.  It is not going to happen overnight, but with consistent work and a well thought out plan I will be able to achieve my goal.

Our commitment and vision for our group will be to provide the knowledge and systems needed to assist you in obtaining the freedom you deserve. In the Power to Be Free you will find a system that involves Commercial Real Estate, we will educate and empower you to get past your fears and obtain the life you deserve.

In closing before you dismiss this as another sales pitch, ask yourself what do you have more of assets or liabilities. If you are like most and have excessive liabilities you may want to at least give The Power to Be a chance, what is the worst thing that can happen, you might learn a thing or two and get on the fast track to financial freedom.
