Now the fun has only just begun. You have gotten past the awkward stages of being in the commercial real estate business and becoming a successful landlord. You know exactly what it takes to locate, evaluate and obtain viable commercial real estate investment property. And now you are making money! It’s not quite as difficult as you thought it might be, is it? I know. You are aware of the pitfalls and you simply sidestep them before they happen. Your goals are being achieved. You have become a finely tuned and well-oiled commercial real estate investing machine. You are unstoppable! The best part of it is that you are now the Captain of your ship. You have long since fired your boss and you answer to no one, but God and yourself.
If done correctly and you have implemented the correct systems you are truly free now. In just 3 short years you have gone from being a snot nosed Real Estate Freshman to a very confident and successful Real Estate Junior. You are looking forward to the rewards of Real Estate Senior Year, graduation and commencement of Lifetime Real Estate Satisfaction & Wealth. The best part about this prosperous time of your life is that you did not have to wait 4-5 years just to be able to make money. You earned while you earned. Instead of looking back at the mountain of debt and the burden of unpaid student loans that most graduates must face, you are probably looking at how you are going to allocate funds for your retirement. You live the sweet life of a successful commercial real estate investor.
Man, what a difference choices make! Some will take the more proven path and stay in what I call, “Comfort Land,” which is a land where everyone agrees that the world is bad. In this world people believe that life has dealt them a bad hand. They are committed to the belief that their life sucks because their bosses are, excuse my vernacular, a—holes and naturally everyone has always been against them and doing things to hold them back. In their world they can never catch a break and good guys always finish last…no matter what they choose to do or manage to accomplish. Yes, in this world everyone is just a slave to external forces and the lowest of the low are just plain born to lose. Whoa! This world is a real down, huh? Let’s you and I escape to reality!
Your ultimate success is in your hands. It is directly related to the choices that you make. Again, your ultimate success is in your hands! This is America people. Barrack Obama has got a prime shot to become the first man of African American decent to take the highest office on the planet. How did he do that? One of the major components of his success is how he utilized his power to choose in order to realize his power to be free to run for the President of the United States of America. If a pudgy little kid, born to an unwed teenaged mother could rise to such heights by simply deciding to live a life of excellence and reach for the top, what could you do? If you have faithfully followed the plan I have laid out for you, you are beginning to see just a little flicker of the greatness you can achieve. You are now tasting the Power to Be Free. How sweet is the taste of success?
The folks trapped in “Comfort Land,” may never know the taste of success. It really amazes me that people will spend so much energy and time on complaining about a problem that can be fixed very easily. We need to encourage those folks when we can, but there’s no time to waste. Most of them are where they are because that is where they chose to be. The great blessing here is that you do not have to worry about a life of disempowerment and lack. You chose well. You are on the fast track to success and financial freedom.
Listen, three more years are going to go by anyway. What position will be in if you keep making wise and powerful choices for your future? Are you destined to wallow in “Comfort Land” with the other 95% of the population? Will you complain your life and your opportunities away? We already know the answer to that because you have already come so very far. You will be in the “Land of Opportunity and Prosperity” if you continue faithfully and diligently along your current path. Sure, there is more work ahead of you. There is also more success, power and freedom ahead of you. Let me add that the challenges ahead are very simple, but it not easy. Are you ready to take it to a whole new level?
A decision will be made either way. Failing to decide is deciding. You see, in most cases if you do not have a powerful agenda for your life, an alternative one will be provided for you. It will likely not be one that you would have chosen for yourself. The one designated to you arbitrarily by circumstance, fate and others may rob you of all power and the power to be free to choose anything. Nevertheless, you are now a proud chest thumping Junior and you can see the fruits of your labor. You have probably 50-60 units under your belt. You are not “rich” per se, but you are well on your way to the kind of financial independence and freedom that few ever achieve. The choice is yours as it has always been. You can take the path of least resistance and end up in “Comfort Land” or you can continue to follow this lucrative path you have chosen. You can be like the Marines and be one of the few that take destiny into their own hands and prevail beyond their wildest dreams. Yes, you can!
