Accountability and Success have a lot in Common

Accountability is a concept in ethics with several meanings. It is often used synonymously with such concepts as answerability, enforcement, responsibility game-worthiness, liability and other terms associated with the expectation of account-giving.

A good friend of mine told me about a quote from Coach Lou Holtz “You are either growing or you are dying.” Which one are you?

We hear all the time about these very antidotal quotes you are “either you going forward or you are going backwards, probably the one I hear most often would be there are three types of people in this world “Those Who Let things happen”, “Those who wonder what happens” and finally “Those who make it happen which one are you”. Well that is all well, we know due to the overwhelming disparity in wealth that most fall in the latter 2. It can probably be traced to a number of things, but I can give you one that is probably at the top of most successful peoples list. It starts and ends with, the dreaded word Accountability. I recently attended a seminar conducted by this very charismatic individual named Ken Brown, and very successful in almost every endeavor he pursued. He made a statement that you need to think about. “The way you do some things are the way you probably do all things”.

Accountability and success have a lot in common, the similarities usually has a measured result at the end. Think to yourself when was the last time you really held yourself accountable what were your results, lets go back to school, you may not have been like me waiting to the last minute to prepare for a test, but even in the last minute preparations, if I did certain things I usually received a positive results. That may not be the best example of being accountable, but it gets the point across. Back to your accountability, ask yourself who really holds you accountable, let’s say you are the owner of your own business, you have employees and you are the head cheese, who holds you responsible daily. If you are honest most of the time there is not anyone that holds responsible good or bad, the end result usually if it is good is a great week, a great quarter, or a great year. This is usually how many business owners gauge there accountability or success.

The problem I see with this in most cases, is that most can be doing so much more, achieving there successes so much faster, but most are afraid of change, they would rather be right than be successful. If you look at successful individuals most have coaches, mentors, or confidants. I have started a mentoring program for Real Estate investors that are looking to go to the next level. I understand the fears that come with change, I try to have my clients, see the end before the beginning. I feel it is far more important to see how far a person is willing to stretch themselves. How uncomfortable are you with traveling the path that few have traveled before. There’s an old saying, success is attainable by everybody, but most do not have what it takes, not willing to go without, put it all on the line for what they feel is possible. The Power to be Free is here to assist the right individuals that understand to obtain something they’ve never had before they must do something they’ve never done before.

In closing if you are fed up with being ordinary and truly believe you have what it takes to become extraordinary. You need to be a part of The Power to be Free. It’s not for everybody, but the one’s that are willing to do what it takes will have the life that most only dream about..
